Developing a nursing and midwifery workforce, fit for the future
We are delighted to reveal the first ever Nursing Times Workforce Awards shortlist. We received a fantastic number of entries from nearly 100 organisations.
Our panel of 21 esteemed judges said the standard of entries was extremely high and provided evidence that there was a lot of great work happening to support the nursing and midwifery workforce.
Not only will we be celebrating the achievements of the shortlist on 4 October, we are also hosting the inaugural Nursing Times Workforce Summit during the day.
The summit will highlight important discussions and showcase innovation in workforce planning and management, which will contribute to sustaining a workforce fit for the future. As everyone agrees, a sustainable nursing and midwifery workforce is essential to ensuring the quality of services and protecting patient safety.
The one-day event will provide a national forum for those responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, and retention. With unrivaled access to content that draws on expertise from strategic partners and real-life case studies from a range of health and care settings, we hope the programme will challenge, inspire and support organizations to attract and retain the best talent.
