CJ is a an early-career mental health nurse, having worked for the NHS in various settings, including mental health triage, acute and community settings. He is passionate about mental health, patient safety, health inequalities, digital health and workforce development.

In his present role, he works as a staff nurse for Derbyshire NHS Foundation Trust, as well as a Policy & Research Trainee at The King’s Fund, where he maintains clinical practice, while contributing to policy and research across various specialisms.

CJ sits on the NIHR Health & Social Care Workforce Panel, with research themes around workforce development and evaluation. Additionally, he sits on the Arc EM Community Voices Panel, focused on improving health outcomes across East Midlands. Previous roles include RCN International Committee member, focusing on global nursing policy research and advocacy (2022-2023). He has volunteered on the NuRS & AmRes Joint Steering Committee, conducting research into relationships between nurse retention and patient outcomes.
