Tricia is a Senior Nurse with over 30 years’ experience working in the NHS.  Starting her career working in Trauma and orthopaedics Tricia moved into a Senior Practice Development role supporting Newly Qualified and Overseas Nurses.  In 2005 she became a Practice Education Facilitator working with Health Education England and local Universities across both the acute and community practice settings ensuring a high-quality learning experience for our Nursing students.

With a passion for education, career development and evidence-based practice Tricia undertook her Post Graduate Certificate in Health and Social Care Education and then completed her MSc in Education and Health and was appointed into the Role of Head of Practice Development in 2015 at Western Sussex Hospitals. Tricia’s role involves managing a large team of Practice Development Nurses and educators who enable clinical practitioners to deliver innovative, patient-centered care. Tricia is an active RCN learning representative and is passionate about workforce development, being part of the National Trailblazer for the Nurse Associate Apprenticeship and deputy chair of the East Surrey and Sussex Nurse Associate Consortium. She is committed to helping staff reach their potential and flourish, and for patients and service users to experience excellent care.
