Kate has worked as a nurse in the NHS for 24 years. After completing her Nursing Degree in Australia, she started her NHS career in 2000 at The Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In 2014, Kate joined the team at Imperial College NHS Trust as Lead Nurse for Private Care and then in Clinical Safety and Effectiveness, working to improve patient safety across the trust. In her current role as Head of Nursing Workforce Improvement at NHS England, Kate has led several nursing workforce programmes in London. Kate is currently on secondment 2 days a week in North Central London ICB, as the NCL Nursing Workforce Programme Director.
