Akeem Fernandez is the Lead Practice Educator for Pre- and Post-Registration Nursing at East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust. Having worked within the Trust since 2017, Akeem began his career in Clinical Education in 2022 and has since been dedicated to supporting the development of the future nursing workforce. In his role, he works closely with student nurses, nursing apprentices, and newly qualified nurses undertaking preceptorship, ensuring they receive the guidance, structure, and learning opportunities needed to build strong professional foundations. Akeem is passionate about education, mentorship, and creating supportive clinical learning environments that enable learners to thrive. He takes great pride in contributing to the growth and confidence of the next generation of nurses and remains committed to maintaining high standards in nursing education and practice.
