I have been a nurse for 31 years and through that have had the opportunity to explore a rich and varied portfolio. I specialised in critical care working at The Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The London Chest Hospital. I was a Matron for Critical care and cardiothoracic surgery at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and then the Associate Director of Nursing for Emergency Care, Acute and Specialist Medicine at Newham University Hospital.
Recognising the importance of education and development to our current and future workforce I then moved into education becoming the Deputy Director for Nursing, Midwifery & AHP Education at Barts Health.
I moved to Lewisham and Greenwich Trust in 2025 to become the Deputy Director of Nursing at Queen Elizabeth focusing on supporting UEC pathways and multi-Professional leadership and I am currently the Deputy Chief Nurse/DoN at Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a portfolio that includes NMAHP workforce and Education for the organisation.
