Maya has over 2 decades of experience in clinical practice and leadership roles. She started work in a national role with DHSC in 2018. Prior to this, as a CNS in Vascular Access/IV Therapy & Deputy Service Lead at Frimley Park Hospital NHS FT. Currently, Clinical Specialist Lead at NHS Supply Chain, driving quality, safety, and innovation whilst she remains active clinically, as an Advanced (Hon) Nurse Practitioner for Vascular Access and IV Therapy. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Practice. Completed Post Graduate Certificate in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement and continues to pursue her master’s degree at the University of Oxford as a Graduate reading for MSc Surgical Science and Practice. She is a member of the embRACE Equity and Equality network (NHSSC), Board Member and Treasurer of the National Infusion & Vascular Access Society (NIVAS), Member of the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Nursing (BJN) IV Supplement and a Visiting Lecturer at the School of Health Sciences of the University of Surrey.
