I have worked as a nurse for 36 years and spent most of my career working in the NHS, mainly in cancer care. I have worked as a cancer specialist nurse, cancer educator and cancer transformation lead nurse. I am currently working in the charity sector, working as the Head of clinical services and deputy CEO in St. Cuthbert's Hospice as part of the senior management team. The hospice is commissioned by the NHS to provide specialist palliative care for inpatients requiring complex pain/symptom management and end of life care. I really enjoy this role and find it challenging and rewarding.
