Dr. Paul John Alegado is a senior lecturer in adult nursing at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Worcester and holds a PhD in Education. Dr. Alegado is also a published author of the book, Uprooted Life: A Self-Reflective Guide to Thriving as a Migrant Professional. He was a former fellow of NHS England and the Florence Nightingale Foundation INMA Program and is currently the executive secretary of the Filipino Nurses Association UK and a regional director for West Midlands. He is an award-winning nurse educator, researcher, speaker and mentor. He won the Nursing Times Awards ‘Overseas Nurse of the Year’ in 2023, and Silver winner at the British Journal of Nursing Awards 2025 as Educator Nurse of the Year.
