National Pensioners Convention lgbtqi+ working group

Retired adult nurse 31 years in care over 4 decades 29 as a student and qualified nurse. I have held positions at every band from 1 to 7 with jobs as diverse as domestic assistant to site clinical manager, with experience of working in the private public charity and volunteer sectors. I was lucky enough to have a career that spanned many specialities as diverse as palliative care and ITU, acute respiratory to community rehabilitation. I was a mentor preceptor and sign of mentor and as part of my NHS role became a RCN learning rep. I have always had a special interest in diversity and inclusion, as far back as school and I still do some volunteer work with both the NPC and RCN in this area. On a personal level for the last couple of decades I have also been a lead and champion working on all things lgbtqi+ health and mental health related.
