My Name is Tracey Collins & I’m the Head of International Nursing & Workforce for the Devon Alliance for International recruitment.
I’m a Registered Nurse having trained at Bloomsbury College of Nurse Education at UCH & the Middlesex Hospitals in London where I specialised in Intensive Care Nursing. I have since worked in various Senior Nursing and General Management positions in both the Private sector and the NHS before finally finding my niche, leading the Nursing & Workforce agenda and specifically Global Health & International Nursing.
Having set up and established the Devon Alliance for International Recruitment initially to support the NHS with the recruitment of healthcare professionals from overseas, it has now grown significantly working as the first integrated model across both the NHS & Social Care in the Southwest Region of the UK.
The Alliance has deployed over 1500 healthcare professionals into the system which in turn has benefited from a 99.8% retention rate of high calibre staff delivering excellence in care and enabling patients to be cared for in the right setting at the right time.
Vision
Making a difference to people’s lives is invaluable to me and my vision is to work collaboratively across the health & care systems nationally and internationally, building educational partnerships, knowledge exchange & sharing best practice to provide the best quality care to our patients and service users both here in the UK and overseas.
Facilitating opportunities for Nurses & Midwives and all healthcare professionals through capacity building and global partnerships are pivotal in providing an all-rounded ecosystem to support the achievement of Universal Health Coverage.
