Dawn Hennefer is a nurse and Senior Lecturer at the University of Salford in the Northwest of England. Dawn has worked at the University of Salford since 2001 and has worked in many different roles across both pre-registration and post registration nursing. She holds a Registered General Nurse qualification with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register. Her first degree was a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biological Sciences, her second degree a MA in Higher Education Practice and Research, she also holds a Teaching qualification (PG Cert). Currently Dawn is studying for a professional doctorate at the University of Salford.
Dawn has many passions surrounding nurse education for students from Anatomy and Physiology to Pharmacology to professionalism in nursing. Her current role as Deputy Director in Nursing and Midwifery enables her to support staff in their professional and academic development as well as promoting a culture conducive to balanced health and wellbeing. Dawn is a great believer in maintaining a healthy work life balance and champions this philosophy on a daily basis, her doctoral studies very much has this ethos at the heart of her work.
